No one is perfect. Everyone makes mistakes, so it’s how you handle them that matters most. Instead of trying to pretend a blunder didn’t occur or passing it off on a co-worker, admit you were wrong and learn from it. People know when you’re faking an illness, and it’s not a good look, so avoid calling off sick unless you’re truly under the weather.

Lend a Helping Hand

When a colleague has more work than they can handle or a problem they’re struggling to solve, offer to help. This shows you’re a team player willing to go above and beyond your own job duties to assist others. Not only is this the right thing to do, but it also increases the chances of your peers lending a helping hand to you in the future, if needed.
